Important information for editing your website
The majority of websites built by Antler Studio use the Divi theme and if you edit your website yourself you will need to know this important information.
The latest update to WordPress 5, has seen the introduction of a new WordPress editor that will affect your Divi site. When the new WordPress update is installed the old Divi back end editor is no longer available and you will only be able to edit the site in the ‘what you see is what you get’ Divi Visual Builder. I find the back end editor more reliable so here is what I recommend you do.
What to do
Never fear! To keep editing your website as you have been there is a simple work-around provided by Divi.
First! Update the Divi theme to the latest version before you update to WordPress 5.
Then, go to the Divi option on the menu at right side of screen and select Theme Options.
Next, click on the Builder tab, select the Advanced tab and then switch the Enable Classic Editor option to Enabled.
Save changes.
That’s it! Now the back end Divi editor will work just as it used to.
